Founded in 1972, Machado, Meyer, Sendacz e Opice Advogados is one of Brazil´s most renowned and respected legal firms. Operating harmoniously in all areas of the law, the firm offers legal assistance to both Brazilian and international clients, including large corporations in the most varied sectors of activities, financial institutions and government bodies.
In 2010 and 2011, respectively, Machado Meyer was elected Brazil Law Firm of the Year and distinguished with the Client Service Awards by the most traditional international legal publication, the English Chambers and Partners. In the last decade alone, was elected three times Law Firm of the Year in Brazil by the also renowned British publication, the International Financial Law Review - which has been ranking the firm in the tier 1, according to its guide, year after year . Again, according to Chambers and Partners, in the same period, the firm appeared as the Law Firm of the Year, this time in all of Latin America. Since the launch of the Brazilian annual Análise Advocacia 500, in 2006, the firm has appeared though the years as one of Brazil´s most admired.
With offices in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Brasília, Belo Horizonte, Porto Alegre and New York, Machado Meyer has around 300 lawyers. It is an office with global reach and has close ties with the principal legal firms of the United States, Europe, Latin America and Asia.
