According to Transactional Track Record's July M&A Report, the Brazilian market is still registering a downturn in transactional activity, compared with the same period of previous years, though it shows an increase in the total moved capital. The same type of analysis is available on the pages allocated to Private Equity and to Venture Capital, which reflected higher dynamism. Meanwhile, the section dedicated to the cross-border segment presents the most appealing sectors for foreign capital, as well as the country of origin of those investments. The league tables in the last pages of the report reflect the activity of the legal and financial advisors, based on transactions announced in 2018 YTD. The report also includes an exclusive interview granted to TTR by Koury Lopes Advogados Partner Melissa Kanô on the performance of the Brazilian M&A market, as well as on matters connected with the data protection law and with fintechs.
