Astropay, an Uruguay-based company engaged in the sale of pre-paid card for internet purchases, announced its arrival in Silicon Valley, reported El Observador on 3 June, 2016, citing co-founder, Sergio Fogel. Specifically, the company plans to arrive in California to be near large technology companies, particularly e-commerce companies which may have developing markets for its internet purchase cards. With the arrival in the United States, the company reinforces its international expansion. Astropay is already present in Brazil, Mexico, Peru, Chile, Argentina, Colombia, Uruguay, Turkey, and China.

Astropay, empresa uruguaya dedicada a la venta de tarjetas prepago para compras en Internet, ha anunciado su desembarco en Silicon Valley, según ha informado El Observador el 3 de junio de 2016, citando al cofundador de Astropay, Sergio Fogel. En concreto, la firma estima llegar a California con el objetivo de estar cerca de grandes firmas tecnológicas, en especial de empresas de comercio electrónico que puedan tener mercados en desarrollo de su producto de tarjetas para comprar en Internet. Con la llegada a Estados Unidos, la firma refuerza su expansión internacional, la cual ya cuenta con presencia en Brasil, México, Perú, Chile, Argentina, Colombia, Uruguay, Turquía y China. |
