The Latin American transactional market registered a total of 1,963 mergers and acquisitions, in 2015, generating an aggregated investment value of approximately USD 134.04bn. The most active countries were Brazil, with 1,017 deals generating approximately USD 69.69bn, Mexico, with 303 deals and approximately USD 35.30bn, and Colombia, with 179 deals and approximately USD 15.03bn.

 In terms of quarters, a total of 538 deals were recorded in the fourth quarter of 2015, which generated approximately USD 30.57bn, of which 137 were assets, 32 venture capital, and 39 private equity deals.
