Spain-based law firms like Garrigues or Cuatrecasas, Gonçalves Pereira have their eye on opening offices in China's capital, Pekin, during this year due to the strong growth of Chinese investment in Spain and Latin America, reported Expansion on 12 May, 2015. The Spanish law firms have been operating in Shanghai for years and want to open offices in Pekin this year. So far, only Uría Menéndez, another Spain-based law firm, has had an office in Pekin since 2010. The Chinese state-owned companies are headquartered in Pekin, where also 50% of Chinese foreign investment is carried out. Shanghai is where the daily operations of Spanish, not Chinese, clients are conducted.

Despachos de abogados españoles como Garrigues o Cuatrecasas, Gonçalves Pereira tienen la mirada puesta en abrir oficinas en la capital china de Pekín durante este año, debido al fuerte crecimiento de la inversión china en España y Latinoamérica, según ha informado el diario Expansión el día 12 de mayo de 2015. Los bufetes españoles llevan años operando en Shanghai, y este año quieren abrir oficinas en Pekín. Hasta ahora, sólo la firma de abogados española Uría Menéndez tenía un despacho en Pekín que abrió en el año 2010. Las empresas estatales están en Pekín, donde además se produce más del 50% de la inversión china en el extranjero, quedando Shanghai como ciudad donde se asesora más el día a día de las operaciones de los clientes españoles allí, no de clientes chinos. |
