Uría Menéndez is one of the most prestigious independent law firms in the Iberian market. Founded in the 1940s, we have over 500 lawyers in 15 offices located in the most important financial centres in Europe, the Americas and Asia.

We have more than ten years’ experience in this continent and lawyers in the five main Latin American jurisdictions: Argentina , Brazil , Chile , Mexico and Peru .
Our office in Sao Paulo, which opened in 1998, is the heart of our Latin American network. From here our lawyers coordinate transactions in this region and advise on Spanish, Portuguese and European law.
We also have a close relationship with renowned local law firms in other Latin American countries, such as Marval, O'Farrell & Mairal in Argentina, Dias Carneiro Advogados, in Brazil, Philippi, Yrarrázaval, Pulido & Brunner in Chile, Galicia Abogados, S.C. in Mexico, Payet, Rey, Cauvi in Peru, and Brigard & Urrutia and Prieto & Carrizosa in Colombia.
Through our close links in Latin America, we also offer our clients access to the best legal advice in other jurisdictions such as Venezuela, Uruguay, Central America and the Caribbean.
